3 Warm-Ups on the Piano That ACTUALLY Sound Beautiful
If you’re like most pianists, you know that warming up is essential. But let’s be honest—traditional piano exercises can feel repetitive, mechanical, and, well... boring! What if your warm-ups could actually sound beautiful and be enjoyable to play?
In my Youtube video, "3 Warm-Ups on the Piano That ACTUALLY Sound Beautiful," I share three exercises that not only improve your technique but also sound beautiful!
These exercises will help with finger dexterity, coordination and hand independence, so you can warm up and enjoy playing at the same time.
1. The Broken Chord Flow
First up we’ve got the broken chord flow, which uses chords in the right hand that have been broken up, and easily into flow each other.

2. The Alberti Flow
Next up we’ve got the Alberti Flow warm up. And this one is really going to help strengthen your left hand as well as help with coordination and dexterity of those often weaker fingers. And I’ve called it this because it uses what is called an Alberti Bass Pattern.

3. The Harmonic Waltz
I’ve called this one the harmonic waltz. It’s a combination of the first two warm-ups, but when combined the hands create beautiful harmonies between the two. It’s going to really help build your finger coordination, and may be challenging for some of you, but if you persevere once you’ve got it it’s almost like your hands are performing some sort of waltz.

Unlike traditional exercises that can feel tedious, these warm-ups integrate technique with musicality.
